1. Who we are
Mundoo is a language learning app developed and operated by Michiel Van Tilborg, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands ("we", "us", "our"). By using Mundoo, you agree to these terms.
2. The service
Mundoo provides AI-powered language tutoring through conversational sessions, structured learning paths, and voice interaction. The service is currently available on iOS.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Mundoo. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the app. We do not knowingly provide the service to children under 16.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You may not share your account or use someone else's. You agree to provide accurate information when signing in. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Mundoo to: post or transmit harmful, abusive, or unlawful content; attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the service; impersonate another person; or interfere with the service's normal operation.
6. Subscription and payments
Mundoo is free to download and includes a free tier (five conversations to get started). Full access requires a Mundoo Pro subscription, available as: €14.99 per month (billed monthly); €39.99 per quarter (billed every three months); or €119.99 per year (billed annually, the equivalent of about €10 per month). Subscriptions are billed through the App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms. You can cancel at any time from your App Store subscription settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not process payment details directly. Additional subscription options may be introduced in future; pricing will always be clearly stated at the point of purchase.
7. AI-generated content
Mundoo uses AI to generate tutor responses. These are for language learning purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of all AI-generated content. Do not rely on Mundoo for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
8. Intellectual property
All content, design, and code in Mundoo is owned by Michiel Van Tilborg unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without written permission. Your own messages and voice input remain yours.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and handle your data. By using Mundoo, you agree to that policy.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Mundoo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Language learning outcomes depend on your own effort and are not guaranteed.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch and EU law, Michiel Van Tilborg is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Mundoo. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. If you are a consumer in the EU, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions in your country of residence.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
